MAINTENANCE / HANDYMAN
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
-
Keep our restaurants running smoothly by handling day-to-day repairs and maintenance across kitchens, bars, dining areas, terraces, storage areas and staff accommodation.
-
Carry out basic electrical work (e.g., lights, sockets, switches, troubleshooting minor faults) safely and to a good standard.
-
Handle plumbing jobs such as leaks, taps, toilets, blocked drains, pipework checks, and replacing fittings.
-
Complete general repairs: doors/locks/hinges, furniture fixes, minor carpentry, patching/painting, silicone sealing, tile/grout touch-ups, and small construction tasks.
-
Do preventative checks to catch problems early (water, electrics, equipment, fixtures) and report bigger issues before they become emergencies.
-
Respond quickly to urgent maintenance call-outs to minimise downtime during service.
-
Coordinate with restaurant managers and (when needed) external contractors for larger jobs, helping with access, photos, and clear problem descriptions.
-
Keep your work organised: log completed tasks, track recurring issues, and help maintain a small stock of essential spare parts and tools.
-
Follow health & safety best practices at all times and keep work areas clean and safe.
